Role distribution

The merchant is the data controller for customer data in the online store. Metly is the data processor and only processes data to deliver analysis, forecasting, and business insights.

Instruction and purpose

Metly may only process data for the purposes necessary for dashboards, forecasts, customer analyses, and recommendations. Data is not used for advertising or resale.

Sub-processors and security

Metly only uses technical subcontractors necessary for operations, hosting, and security. Data is transferred encrypted in transit, and directly identifiable fields are reduced according to retention rules.

Deletion and termination

When the collaboration ends, or if Shopify onboarding fails during the signup flow, metly deletes the user's account and related data in the system. Merchants can also request deletion of imported data.
